Westminster Q105: What are the sins forbidden in the first commandment?

(Psa 14:1) . . . The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.

(Eph 2:12) remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
(Jer 2:27-28) Who say to a tree, 'You are my father,' And to a stone, 'You gave me birth.' For they have turned their back to Me, And not their face; But in the time of their trouble they will say, 'Arise and save us.' "But where are your gods Which you made for yourself? Let them arise, if they can save you In the time of your trouble; For according to the number of your cities Are your gods, O Judah.

(1Th 1:9) For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
